For some reason I have started to get an error when I open 2017 CI?

An internal error occurred during: “Check New Version”.
org/apache/http/client/fluent/Executor

Not sure if it connected but I also got a corrupted workspace, loaded 2017 CI and then froze – I tried a different workspace and it loaded ok, so I restarted with the -clean flag on (bit of an anxious moment!) and the dodgy workspace and it seems ok now apart from the above error message (which I had before the workspace issue)

Sorry that you are seeing this error. Thank you for the details. It looks like a possible workspace corruption.

Can you please give us some more details for further investigation ? :

1. Please share with us the full .log file located at workspace dir/.metadata/.log

2. The MyEclipse Installation Details from menu Help > Installation Summary > Installation Details.

3. Also let us know when exactly you see the error message being logged in the problematic workspace. Does the error occur only once when you open the workspace or does it also occur when you are performing any other actions in the workspace?

I have also noticed that the bottom right of the screen had been showing ‘Updating usage statistics’ permanently

I have just stopped and started the software several times and it looks like the error has stopped – not sure if this is as a result of the ‘-clean’ startup or not?

Thank you for the details and the log file. The ‘Check New Version’ error is related to the Jaspersoft Studio 6.3.1 plugin you installed to MyEclipse 2017. The ‘Updating usage statistics’ job is also related to the Jaspersoft Studio plugin.

The log has classnotfound exception related to Jaspersoft plugin :

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.http.client.fluent.Executor cannot be found by com.jaspersoft.studio_6.3.1.final

Running MyEclipse with -clean will erase and rebuild its plugin cache to avoid conflicts with incorrect plugin information. It might have fixed the error you are seeing with the plugin.

For further Jaspersoft related problems, please check with Jaspersoft community or development forums like stackoverflow.com for better suggestions from the developer community.
