bsavardnokMemberI’ve got Windows7 64 bit, JDK 1.6.0_23 64-Bit, Eclipse 3.5.2 Classic 64-bit and I’ve downloaded ME 8.6.1 archived update.
When I try to add the archive in Eclise, I get the following error:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 8.6.1.me201011171824-7a7w3A8ryXaFin9z00Bz-9pC88LH (com.genuitec.myeclipse.enterprise.workbench.feature.group 8.6.1.me201011171824-7a7w3A8ryXaFin9z00Bz-9pC88LH)
Missing requirement for filter (&(osgi.os=win32)(osgi.ws=win32)): MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 8.6.1.me201011171824-7a7w3A8ryXaFin9z00Bz-9pC88LH (com.genuitec.myeclipse.enterprise.workbench.feature.group 8.6.1.me201011171824-7a7w3A8ryXaFin9z00Bz-9pC88LH) requires ‘org.mozilla.xulrunner.win32.win32.x86 [1.9.0.7-me201003052220]’ but it could not be foundIs this a known issue? Is ME 8.6.1 not supported on a 64 bit platform?
Thanks in advance.
support-swapnaModeratorbsavard,
1. Can you check if the size of the downloaded archive file is same as the one on the site?
2. Do you have any firewalls/proxies enabled?Alternatively you can update it through an update site. Here are the steps for the same :
MyEclipse 8.6.1 (Update Site)
To install using an Eclipse update site:1. Install Eclipse Classic 3.5.2.
2. Edit the eclipse.ini file in the eclipse folder and change the -Xmx384m value to -Xmx512m.
3. Start Eclipse and click Help > Install New Software > Add the following update site:
http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/galileo/enterprise-stable
4. Make sure “Group items by category” is selected and select the “MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench” group.
5. Click Next twice, accept the licenses presented and click Finish to start the installation. Restart when prompted.Let us know how this works for you.
bsavardnokMemberHi.
I tried what you asked and get the same error message.
The base Eclipse info:
Version: 3.5.2
Build id: M20100211-1343So I assume that a full 64-bit platorm (OS, Java and Eclipse) is supported?
Thanks.
bsavardnokMemberI just found this thread: https://myeclipseide.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=119974
It appears that only ME9 supports Java/Eclipse in 64-bits.
Any idea when ME9 will ship? Thanks.
support-swapnaModeratorbsavard,
Sorry for the confusion.
You can get the ME 9.0 M2 update site from here :
http://myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Recommend_Us&req=Download&version=DevReleasesYou will need to use the MyEclipse 9.0M2 update site with a 64-bit Eclipse 3.6.0 installation.
Let us know if you have any other issues.
