I’ve been using myEclipse 7.1 for about a month now. It came zipped with and it has a workspace where a few projects are located. This project are created by another company and we got the source code so we can modify for our needs.

But after a while working fine now I get an error:

Checking workspace has encountered an error.
Error checking for updates to workspace configuration.
Unrecognized user identifier[…..]

I have no clue what this might be and have been trying to understand how this myEclipse has been set up .

I come from Netbeans and am trying to switch to Eclipse.

I know very very litle about myeclipse. Any direction is highly appreciated.

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you answer couple of questions for me to get to the root cause?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details
2. Can you switch to a new workspace and check if this issue persists?
3. Can you take a look at .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log and look for relevant issues logged.
4. Try out -clean as mentioned here – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/
