tradrejoeMemberWe have Fortify 360 version 2.1.0 that used to work with MyEclipse 6.6. We used to be able to run a script called eclipsepostinstall.bat and install Fortify as an additional menu item in MyEclipse IDE. But this script no longer work for MyEclipse for Spring 8.6.
Details: the script eclipsepostinstall.bat allow us to specify where the “eclipse” directory is. But with MyEclipse for Spring 8.6, the script errored out and reported that the directory specified was not a “valid eclipse” directory.
davemeurerMemberHello,
I do believe MyEclipse updated their installation mechanism with 8.0, but I’ll place a copy of this thread in the Installation, Configuration forum where there are better resources to answer this question. (This forum focuses on the MyEclipse for Spring features themselves).
What I can tell you is all MyEclipse products are installed via the pulse installer, and the default installation can be found under the Genuitec folder. Under the same folder is a Common folder which holds the plug-ins for each MyEclipse profile created, so possibly your script is looking for the plug-ins folder?
HTH,
Dave
support-joyMembertradrejoe,
Can you elaborate more on the eclipsepostinstall.bat. Can you copy and paste the contents of the .bat file here?
What does your bat file do? Does it copy and paste the relevant plugin and feature of Fortify 360 version 2.1.0 to MyEclipse installation dir\dropins\plugins folder?
Please ensure you validate the compatibility of the Fortify plugin . ME 8.6 is based on Eclipse Classic 3.5.2 whereas ME 6.6 is based on Eclipse classic 6.6.
Can you share the update site / weblink to download the eclipse plugin for Fortify 360?
tradrejoeMemberProblem solved by Fortify tech support. Basically using a fortify.link file under the dropin directory. The content of the file should point to the Fortify plugin directory, with all forward slashes in the directory path.
