I’ve read the post on adding media icons (thank you, easy to follow).

Now, how can I break out of the white/black/striped background mold?

    * What dimensions are recommended for background images-tiled or horizontal top with x-repeat?
    * Is there a way to simply change the color to something other than black or white?
    * Where (what folder) would I put the background tiles? Or, is there a way to add them as with the
    media icons?

Basically the same questions for things like buttons & toolbars.

    Thanks!

    Hi Karen,

Until MobiOne provides customized design form background try adding a Panel over the area you want a custom background image or color. Panel backgrounds can be images (including repeat), gradient colors, solid color or transparent. You can disable or enable panel borders and radius’ed corners.

For the standard vertical layout of navbar+panel+toolbar start in top-to-bottom direction and add each component. You will see Landingzones at top and bottom for the navbar and toolbar. The panel will need to be custom sized to fit between the other components. Do not overlap navbar or toolbar with the panel as you can make the panel scrollable and the overlap looks incorrect when scrolled.

Use 320 px as the screen width.

You can not change the color of the navbar or toolbar atm. You have a couple of choices: 1) create your own custom bar using a panel+buttons or media-images or 2) modify the runtime code by customizing the exported images. For #2, MobiOne will generate all the HTML5 and images into a directory. Look in the \res directory for images used to make up the UI components.

    I hope this is helpful.
