First we need to get you upgraded to the most recent MyEclipse release, please download it from our site and install it to a new directory (never re-install ontop of an existing eclipse or myeclipse install).

Then start MyEclipse using the -clean command line argument to clean out the plugin cahce. Now try and create a page, does it still freeze? If so, try a new workspace first using File > Switch Workspace > C:\tempworkspace, hit OK to restart. Then create a new project and JSP page, if it still freezes, then copy-paste the result from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installatioon Details here for me to see.

Thanks for the response. Just to clarify one more time, “You want me to even REINSTALL Eclipse” !

Nope just MyEclipse. You just need to install MyEclipse to a new dir, and if you use the installer it will change the link from the old MYEclipse dir to the new one, if you use the manual installer you just need to do it manually from Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration, and disable the old extension and add the new one.
