support-jedKeymasterCopied from http://www.poweredbypulse.com/forums/showthread.php?1796-MyEclipse-10.6-install-dependency-issue.
Get following dependency issue trying to install MyEclipse 10.6. Why can’t Pulse determine the dependencies and install Eclipse 3.7.2 as required for installation of MyEclipse 10.6?
Software being installed: Eclipse Project SDK 3.7.2.v201202080800 (org.eclipse.sdk 3.7.2.v201202080800)
Software currently installed: MyEclipse 10 (Profile) 2.0.0.0000000005 (com.poweredbypulse.profile- 2538699-rmb-3192345 2.0.0.0000000005)
Only one of the following can be installed at once:
Eclipse Project SDK 3.7.1.v201109091335 (org.eclipse.sdk 3.7.1.v201109091335)
Eclipse Project SDK 3.7.0.v201106131736 (org.eclipse.sdk 3.7.0.v201106131736)
Eclipse Project SDK 3.7.2.v201202080800 (org.eclipse.sdk 3.7.2.v201202080800)
Cannot satisfy dependency:

To: org.eclipse.sdk [3.7.0.v201106131736]Thanks!
Brian FernandesModeratorGary,
Could you please let us know exactly how you are trying to install 10.6?
Are you trying to update an existing profile – if so, what version of MyEclipse do you have right now and how are you attempting the update?
The update to 3.7.2 should be happening automatically, of course – if you explain your use case, we should be able to help you out.
gary.heitholdMemberI am updating from MyEclipse 10.0.2 to the latest version thru the ‘MyEclispe Configuration Center’ (version 10.0). The latest version of MyEclipse (10.6.0) is listed in the Software Updates section, so I check the box and then click apply the Pending Change. Several seconds later I get the previosly reported/posted dependency issue in the Applying changes details box indicating Pulse has been unable to create a plan for MyEclipse 10 due to the indicated dependency issue.
Thanks.
support-tonyKeymasterGary,
Thanks for the information. So far, we’ve been unable to replicate your problem or to determine what might have caused it. From the messages, it seems that there might be some corruption of your MyEclipse configuration but this is difficult to pin down. Had you tried any of the previous updates (to 10.1 or 10.5)?
To get you up to 10.6, it might be best to download the installer from here:
http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-4.html
Just accept the license agreement and click on the appropriate download link for your system. You’ll be taken to a page that gives further installation options.
You can install 10.6 beside your current installation or choose to upgrade an existing installation (that option will be shown during installation, though, if the upgrade fails in the same way as in the opening post, please try a separate installation).
Please let us know if this helps.
