Hello,
I used the WindowBuilder Pro update site URL to install the first Google free version of this product without problems.
Last week Google releases a new version and MyEclipse alerts me about it. I try to apply this update. It seems OK downloading the required files, but when the download ends, an arror appears.
I tried a clean install and it seems the same error is done. Same problem in Windows and Ubuntu 10.10.
No problems with Eclipse 3.5 and 3.6, so I suspect a Pulse problem with this distribution of WindowBuilder.
Can you help me?

Can you answer below queries –
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. Can you share the weblink for the plugin and also include detailed steps on how did you add the plugin to your ME profile?
Have you used pulse / myeclipse configuration center from MyEclipse IDE to push the update? Please note that ME 8.6 is based on Eclipse 3.5.2 classic. Please ensure that the update is compatible to the base eclipse. In case you have used MyEclipse configuration center, I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse.
1. Open pulse(Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
2. Login to pulse
3. Select “Eclipse-Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
4. Select “MyEclipse 8.6” from “My Profiles”
5. Right click on MyEclipse 8.6 and click on [Re-install and run]
6. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps
Pulse will automatically fix any dependency issues.

Thank you for the detailed steps and update site. Here is what I did –
1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center
2. Go to Software tab
3. Click on [add site] and add http://dl.google.com/eclipse/inst/d2wbpro/latest/3.5 as the site URL (refer http://code.google.com/intl/es-ES/webtoolkit/tools/download-wbpro.html)
4. Expand WindowsBuilder pro plugin under Personal sites and expand till the child nodes, now right click on each child node and click on [add to profile]
5. Click on [apply 14 changes] button under *Pending Changes* section
6. When prompted accept the license agreement and follow the wizard
7. After installation, when prompted choose to restart the IDE
8. To verify if the plugin is added, open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > About MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench > Installation Details. Go to Plugins tab and look for windows builder plugin.Please see the attached screenshots.
I see from your log file it shows “file not found at server” issues. If you are behind firewall / proxy, please ensure you have configured MyEclipse IDE with details of your proxy here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections. And give it a retry.
In case this is still an issue, I would recommend you use pulse to install this plugin.
1. Open pulse(Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
2. Login to pulse
3. Select “Eclipse-Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
4. Select “MyEclipse 8.6” from “My Profiles”
5. Select software tab
and add the windows plugin software as detailed in the above stepsHi Joy,

– The update site is already defined in the MyEclipse 8.6 profile and there are 14 managed changes pending
– When I try to ad an item to profile a message like “GroupLayout Support is already a part of personal software for MyEclipse” appears
– I pulse the Apply 14 changes button and the download begins and ends
– The error dialog box appearsI don’t have a proxy, at work (works with standard Eclipse). I’ll re-try at home.

Sorry to hear you are still running into the same issue. Can you do the following –
1. From pulse, remove the existing software for windows builder. Listed below are steps to remove windows builder plugin from your ME profile.
2. Select MyEclipse 8.6 from My Profiles.
3. Goto Software tab
4. Under My Software > Personal Software delete all the 14 WindowBuilder related plugins
5. After you delete all the windowbuilder plugins it will be deleted from Browse Software > Personal Sites section.Next – follow the steps mentioned above to add the plugin.
Please ensure you use this update site – “http://dl.google.com/eclipse/inst/d2wbpro/latest/3.5”. There are other update sites mentioned here – http://code.google.com/intl/es-ES/webtoolkit/tools/download-wbpro.html . But you need to use the update site which is compatible to Eclipse 3.5.2 as ME 8.6 is based on Eclipse classic 3.5.2.

1. Download eclipse classic 3.5.2
2. Install WindowBuilder Pro plugin on eclipse classic
3. Install MyEclipse 8.6 plugin on eclipseLet me know if this works for you.
I am having the same issue and I honestly believe that it is a Google issue that needs to be raised with the WindowBuilder support people. If you try to paste the URL’s of the jars into a browser, I am getting an HTTP 404 error. So, I am not sure what is going on why Google is not addressing this issue. I plan to raise it right now…
