b4l4nc3rMemberI could not install the PHP Development Toolkit (PDT) from the Pulse catalog in MyEclipse 9 M1:
I’ve even tried to get it directly from the the Helios Discovery source, but that had one less conflict, but with the same end-user-result:
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.

support-shaliniMemberb4l4nc3r,
This is caused by the IE Debugger which has different dependencies on DLTK. Can you please uninstall IE Debugger before you install PDT?
Here are the steps :
1) Start MyEclipse 9, go to Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center > Dashboard Tab
2) The dashboard should show up in a few seconds, you can now scroll through the list and look for the IE Debugger – click Uninstall.
3) Restart, verify that IE debugger has been uninstalled.
4) Try to install PDT now.Let us know how it works for you.
b4l4nc3rMemberThank you for your feedback. I’ve already applied that workaround to the above mentioned situation, which I’ve subtly indicated with the “JS IEdebugger removed” profile name postfix.
You can see in the screenshots, that “MyEclipse IE JavaScript Debugger” is not included, which normally is visible between “WebLogic Support for MyEclipse” & “Tomcat Support for MyEclipse” around the middle of the vertical scroll-bar.
I’ve double checked the profile which I’ve kept, and I’m willing to share with you, for the presence of “MyEclipse IE JavaScript Debugger”, but I’m still sure it’s not included in the profile. And running that same profile still results in the above pasted dependency problem.
As a potential interesting note, I want to add that PDT has been upgraded to a much newer minor version v2.2.1 than that which was previously tested with MyEclipse, which was I think v2.0.0.
One could argue that PDT is the one that has become incompatible with MyEclipse, but is there any difference to the end-user? I hope I’m doing something wrong.
Brian FernandesModeratorSorry for the misinformation, the workaround posted above will work in MyEclipse 8.5, but not in 8.6 or 9.0M1. There are several reasons for this, centering around our JavaScript support which is part of Core MyEclipse functionality and cannot be removed.
Unfortunately I cannot supply a workaround right now to work with 8.6 or 9.0M1, but we will be fixing this in the upcoming 9.0M2 release that is due in early December.
I regret the inconvenience caused, this is a high priority item and compatibility with 3rd party tools like PDT is very important to us, so we are going to ensure that a fix is available in 9.0M2.
b4l4nc3rMemberThank you very much for your efforts! Will this fix also be included in the MyEclipse for Spring v9 M1? or M2? Or should I start a new thread in the associated forum pointing to this one?
Brian FernandesModeratorYes, this fix will make it to any milestone release of MyEclipse for Spring on the 9 stream automatically, you don’t need to request support separately.

b4l4nc3rMemberAny news?
b4l4nc3rMemberI know about the bad timing from my side, but I’ve to try… so.. ping…
support-swapnaModeratorb4l4nc3r,
Thank you for your patience. We are working on the ME 9.0 M2 release.
We will let you know shortly about it.
Jonty PatelMemberTested This Fix To Un-Install MyEclipse IE Debugger and installed PDT and It Works LIke A FREAKINNN CHARM, Thank You to whoever posted this workaround.
And Yes A Message To My Eclipse Dev Team
Although this is one of the BEST ide/software to have over eclipse which has a lot of plugins and easy customization tools etc. but I PAY for it and so I expect that 5h1t like this where I have to go and find a workaround is pure nonsense.
support-tonyKeymasterJonty,
Thanks for your comments (especially the compliment). Despite occasional problems, we think we offer good value for the money, with on-line support thrown in. We always look to improve our product but nothing is ever perfect, of course. Eclipse is a big world and it’s impossible to test for every eventuality on every platform, but we try our best.
