Francesc RosésParticipantHello,
I updated my laptop from Ubuntu 10.10 64 bits to 11.04 64 bits and I found a problem / incompatibility between Ubuntu Global Menu (Appmenu) and MyEclipse 9.0. I only can see “MyEclipse” menu item and “Window” menu item.
Any more with this problem? Any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Francesc Rosés
support-joyMemberFrancesc Rosés,
I am not sure I follow what exactly you mean by
incompatibility between Ubuntu Global Menu (Appmenu) and MyEclipse 9.0. I only can see “MyEclipse” menu item and “Window” menu item
– could you please attach a screenshot to help us get a visual? Refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshooting-how-to-upload-attachments-on-forum/&highlight=
Also how did you install ME 9? meaning – all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic? Could you attach installation details. Refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshooting-how-to-view-the-installation-details/&highlight=
Francesc RosésParticipantOps, I upload one screenshotyesterday but it seems missing… I’ll try later.
Sorry…

support-joyMemberFrancesc,
Thank you, I have received the screenshot through PM. There is an existing eclipse bug on the same issue, please refer – https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=330563
The fix would be available in MyEclipse after eclipse releases the fix, since MyEclipse is based on Eclipse classic, indirectly inherits eclipse bugs
Until then you need to use the non unity desktop, please refer –

Francesc RosésParticipantHi Joy,
I’ll boot classic desktop!
Thanks a lot!

I do not see that this issue has been fixed completely and the version of the fix / patch release name listed above.
support-tonyKeymasterThere is now a FAQ entry explaining this:
