I cannot get the web view to put itself in the tab group where
the source code is. Its default position places it in the group
where the console is and this is like watching a strobe light.

windows.To move the web view, you can select its tab with the mouse and drag it to other locations. However, since it is technically an Eclipse ‘View’ and the code windows are Eclipse ‘Editors’ you can’t directly mix them in the same layout. One thing I like personally is setting up the web browser as a ‘fast view’ by right-clicking on its title bar and selecting ‘Fast View’. This docs it at the bottom as an icon that I can access with a fast click from any perspective, which I find very handy.
