Hi, I’m runing elcipse 3.0.0 Build id: 200406251208 with MyEclipse 3.8.2 Build id: 200409171200-3.8.2.

When I’m trying to open a js file I get this error: Unable to create part:, without exception.

Any idea about my error.

When I’m trying to open a js file I get this error: Unable to create part:, without exception.

The most important thing here is to open up your log file (workspace dir)\.metadata\.log and see if there are any exception messages after the “Cannot create part”.

I checked with the devs on this and this was a bug in 3.8.0 that was fixed in 3.8.1… how did you install your 3.8.2 install? Was it an updrade ontop of an upgrade, or a fresh install?

I was a clean install, I’ve installed all again now with Eclipse 3.0.1 and I get the same error.

I think that is one of the plugins, but I don’t know who.

Can you do me a favor and remove oxygen and see if it works all the sudden? I wonder if this bug has snuck back in or it is a new version of it….

I also have this problem with the *.js editor. I upgraded to 3.8.1 on 03 Sep.
