Francesc RosésParticipantHello,
I installed ME 8.5 and I worked with this version for some time. One day I can see an upgrade to 8.6 in MyEclipse Configuration Center. So I upgrade to 8.6 without problems. I remember a couple of updates more without problems (Windowbuilder, I think) but yesterday I receive the “Detected dependency conflicts in updates” error and a complementary message “No actionable updates. Check log for details.”
I’m unable to find a log with this info. Can, please, someone where to look for.
I think may be interesting:
1. Explain the software conflicts into the Configuration Center (may be showing the log?)
2. If the conflicts don’t affect all software products, upgrade the products without conflicts (actually none product is is upgraded)Thanks in advance for your help and congratulations to MyEclipse development team for your excellent work!

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Your .log file is located here – [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log. I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse. Do the following –
1. Open Pulse. (Check here – Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer. If not located here, please download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
2. Login to pulse
3. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
4. Right click on “MyEclipse 8.6” from “My Profiles” and click on [Re-install and run]
5. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.
Pulse will automatically fix any dependency issues. Let me know how this works for you.
Francesc RosésParticipantHi Joy,
I’ll try and I’ll comment you the results.
I’m the same problem with Ubuntu 10.04 I’ll try your quick fix too.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Francesc RosésParticipantHello,
I think I found the problem. I removed the Instantiations WindowBuilder Pro product and it seams all is working again.
Then I tried to reinstall WindowBuilder and surprise!… The Instantiations products are now unavailable. A message appears indicating you must visit your site (www.instantiations.com) And… Instantiations have been acquired by Google!
May be, if a product is no more available, like WindowBuilder, Pulse have problems?
Thanks a lot!

Good to hear you have found the root cause for your issue. I believe you must have added instantiations products as plugin either through pulse / dropins. In both the cases, pulse provides you a way to add the plugins. Pulse is not the owner of the plugin, just acts as a facilitator to add plugins.
May be, if a product is no more available, like WindowBuilder, Pulse have problems?
You are absolutely right, if the plugin is no longer available or the updates sites have changed then it will result in dependency issues. In this scenario, it is best to look for the updated plugin / update site for install.
