I am so frustrated with the tern javascript content assist in 2015 CI. It never actually succeeds at suggesting anything.

    1. How do I roll back to version of 2015 CI before tern was included?
    2. Are you ever going to include PhoneGap Support in 2016 CI

    Patrick,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

Please take a look at this FAQ for 2015 to troubleshoot performance issues : https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshooting-performance-issues-in-myeclipse-2015/

If the FAQ does not help, then you can turn off Tern at workspace level from : Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > JavaScript > Performance > Content scope section and select ‘Turn off Tern’.

You can also disable Tern at project level : right click on the project > Properties > MyEclipse > JavaScript > Performance > Content scope section and select ‘Turn off Tern’.

Our new mobile story will be ready by the time 2016 Stable 1.0 is released. Please check this note about Mobile tooling in MyEclipse 2016 : https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/phonegap-tooling-in-myeclipse-2016/

Apologies for inconvenience caused. Let us know if you have any questions.

    Swapna,

    Thanks for the response.

Specifying include/excluded folders helped immensely. Thank you. I had seen those instructions before, but missed that step. I suggest that you move that step (2015 CI 12 or higher section, Step 3) to be the first thing people try as I expect it is the mostly likely fix. In terms of content assist, who would want to sacrifice quality???

I have also seen the note about the mobile tooling in 2016 CI. But that post was in February and it’s now June, so I was hoping for an update. Since you seemed to have solved my javascript content assist problem I am not so eager to switch now.
