Bob DietrichParticipantI’m running into issues starting a WebLogic 10.3 development server from MyEclipse (currently 7.5 but will be moving to latest and greatest).
The WebLogic server is vanilla, out of the box. I can install our ear and run the application via the WebLogic console. In MyEclipse, I setup the server config per https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/weblogic-10-what-does-a-configured-connector-look-like/ and setup the classpath to mimic what’s printed when the server is started via command line. Unfortunately, I get the following exceptions (the referenced file system-jazn-data.xml does exist and is non-empty):

Suggestions please? Thanks.
Bob DietrichParticipantNever mind – operator error.
support-joyMemberrwdietrich,
Are you all set?
Bob DietrichParticipantSorry, I’ve been unavailable.
In short, no, I still can’t get the server started. I found that system-jazn-data.xml needed to be copied up a directory – my error I guess. But now I’m getting a number of class not found errors from what are apparently WebLogic classes.
I’m trying to replicate the classpath and parameters that the server displays when starting outside of MyEclipse, but I think there are still issues. Is it possible to have MyEclipse invoke a script/batch file to do the startup?
The reason I’m going through this effort is that my client is upgrading from OC4J to WebLogic, and at the same time looking for an alternative to using JDeveloper as an IDE. Since JDeveloper has been so buggy and I’ve had such good results with MyEclipse, I’d like to steer them in your direction. But I can’t do that if they cannot start Weblogic from MyEclipse during development.
Thanks.
Bob
support-shaliniMemberBob,
Can you give some more information?
1. Can you copy paste your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details?
2.I’m trying to replicate the classpath and parameters that the server displays when starting outside of MyEclipse
Can you list out the steps in detail to replicate the issue?
3. What are the errors that you are getting in the console.
4. Can you send us screen shots of Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Servers > Weblogic 10.x/JDK/Paths. You can use the PM button at the end of the post. -
