When I double-click the MyEclipse Blue 7.0 icon from the desktop (we’re using Windows XP, running with 2G RAM), the splash screen displays, but the application does not appear to start (we are not even greeted with a workspace dialog).
From the Windows Task Manager, we see the myeclipse-blue.exe application for a period of time, but do not see the process using any significant amounts of CPU (it’s consistently around 0-2% usage for the process).
After about 30 seconds, myeclipse-blue.exe just disappears from the Task Manager.
We checked for log files, but did not find anything pertinent.
Note – this application worked on the developer’s computer in the past. To her knowledge, nothing has changed on that computer (no modifications to the OS, JDK, MyEclipse) that would cause such a problem.
Thanks.
