This is something that always seems to give my problems once in a while:
    uninstalling a third party plugin.
At the moment: in installed testNG from the different location by adding a site in the control center.
I now want to uninstall it, but when I look in the control center under the software tab, the remove button is disabled when selecting the testNG plugin.
    Why is this?
How should I uninstall this plugin?

I had this problem before, and remember that after clicking around and restarting MyEclipse, all of a sudden the remove button is enabled. No idea why… 🙁

    Please some advice?

Ahhh… I just found out what it is: The testNG plugin is listed twice in the “My personal software” and I was clicking on the testNG plugin that can’t be installed. I think because it indicates merly the site…
Bit confusing if you ask me…

    Ed,

On installing a 3rd party plugin using an update site, it lists you all the software. You expand the node of the software and lists all the software as child elements, you need to right click on each child software and click on [add to profile]. Likewise, on un-installing, please follow the reverse process, un-install child-software and then un-install the 3rd party plugin.

    Best.
