Chris,
The actual update Brian was referring to has not yet been released — it will be out tomorrow. The uninstall issue may not be in it yet but we have added a toggle that completely disables CodeMix including not even running the CodeMix engine or registering any of the CodeMix editors.
As a brute force workaround right now, you can just delete the “com.genuitec.eclipse.code.*” plugins from your plugins/ directory of MyEclipse (maybe safer to just move them!) This will similarly remove all Code functionality. We’ll also look at steps that allow you to uninstall CodeMix.
Regarding the original issue of bin/ being locked, what specifically had you notice that? Did it happen 100% of the time for you? Is it possible you have installed the Java support for VS Code or Code OSS on your system?
