Hi,

I am running myeclipse 8.0 MS2. I did a huge upgrade last week (about 400MB), but it’s still points out 8.0 MS 2 (and something like 8.X latest I noticed)…

To work with the final release 8.0, do I need to download it and install it again :(… (removing the MS2 version). Or is updating it through the update manager sufficient ?

The recommended approach is to install ME 8.0 GA afresh. You don’t need to uninstall ME 8.0 M2. You can install the GA version separately. Either you can download the same from the download site or use pulse to download ME 8.0 GA.

Will it keep all my settings ?
I already use the lit functionality as otherwise MyEclipse is very slow in starting up 🙁

You can import your preferences settings. Open MyEclipse IDE( 8.0 M2), from menu options click on File > Export > General > Preferences. Next import the same preferences to your newly installed ME 8.0 GA.
