I want to use MyEclipse but have some questions. Do you have to install something on the server itself? If so, can it be done remotely by an admin.
If I deploy some EARs with MyEclipse will they work on a server without MyEclipse? Is there a MyEclipse/Eclipse bundle available so I don’t have to configure everything?
    thanks,

Nope, just a normal server install is fine.

Yes. MyEclipse can deploy a local EAR file for you that you can then copy anywhere you like. For example, I typically deploy a WAR file to my hard drive and then upload it to our production server when I need to deploy a new copy of our webapp.

Not right now, but in the near future we are looking at shipping a CD set with everything on it for people that don’t want to download everything.

I hope these answers helped, please let us know if you haev more questions.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Also there are a handful of known bugs with 3.8 GA that slipped through our testing process that we will get fixes out for by the end of the week.

I noticed on the Licence agreement that the user was allowed to install the software at his/her place of business. If I work at home and at work can I install the software at both locations without being in violation of the agreement. Also I have a laptop that I sometimes use can I install it on all three machines if I am the only one that uses them.

Sure, no problem. Just use the same license for each install.
